A review of Southwark’s design delivery
What we did
LB Southwark has a sound track record of delivering new homes on its own land. It is now ramping up its direct delivery of new homes, and it wants to be clear that it has a robust culture and processes in place to achieve good design. We undertook the following work:
Working with council officers to understand their existing systems
Leading a half day design event attracting many officers from across the council
Reviewing existing new developments
Researching other councils’ processes and documents
Proposing changes to processes such as procurement and resourcing.
