A culture of place-making at Sovereign Network Group

What we did

Sovereign Network Group (SNG) has recently developed a detailed set of quality standards: Homes and Place. To complement this, SNG was seeking advice on how it could best enhance its design review processes for its many development schemes across the south of England. We worked with them to review their current regime and propose a revised approach. We undertook the following work:

  • Discussions with existing team members on current practice

  • Summarising all required design review forums

  • Analysing the Homes and Place standard and how it is monitored

  • Final report summarising the above and proposing revised design review regime as well as a new place-focused staff member

We’re on a mission to enhance place quality at Sovereign – and Claire was just the right person to review how we do things now, and what we could improve. She worked sensitively with our existing team members, and she came up with sensible advice which we are now following
